This was a fun project!
The client had been sent to Brazil for work for a couple of years and when they were moving back got an allowance that allowed them to fill a shipping container with whatever they wanted. They didn't have much in the way of furniture, etc., so they brought back enough local hardwood (basralocus and greenheart) to build a deck, do some flooring in their house, as well as some custom patio furniture to go on it. I got to build the patio furniture.
They had some existing furniture that inspired the design. Assembly was done mainly with stainless steel screws, countersunk and then plugged with matching wood.
When I was done, I had a big supply of offcuts that were all about 1/2" square, so I built a lovely fire and meditated about my life.

Yep, I do all my work from my Tesla. The trailer is great for things like this.
A friend of mine has a wonderful shop that he let me use for the project.
